At East Sussex Full Council on Tuesday 12th October, Council leaders and the vast majority of County Council members supported a Conservative motion which affirmed the importance of placing proper value on ecosystem services, safeguarding and enhancing carbon sinks, conserving and restoring biodiverse habitats, natural and human modified ecosystems, while seeking greater direction, detail and support from central government to assist the authority in delivering on net-zero targets. The Council resolved to write to our East Sussex MP's asking them to convey to government ministers these hopes for increased ambition, detail, direction and support in promoting its Climate, Ecological and Environment policies.
